The yoga and movement teachers who hold space at The Yoga Shala, were brought together with the intention of creating calm, nurturing and inclusive practices. Offering all elements of yoga while consciously supporting all levels of practice.
Meet Our Teachers
A community of teachers who live the practice of yoga.
Victoria Logan
Victoria decided to create The Yoga Shala in the hope of cultivating a new community led yoga space, where different aspects of practice and levels of experience belong. A studio where the community support extends off our mats, and the rich traditions of yoga sit at ou core, through physical practices and philosophical ones too.
Victoria offers strong, fluid and dynamic yoga practices, mirrored with slow and nurturing yin yoga. Striving for a balanced practice, weaving stillness, breath and movement together consciously, allowing the body time to explore the sensations and benefits of the practice, and generate a place of profound healing.
Grace Kirk
Originally from Middlesbrough, Grace has moved to Edinburgh via London to continue sharing her love of movement and desire to keep learning. Having completed 200hr Hatha and Vinyasa training, Grace focused her classes on accessible, strength-based movement. She has undergone specific anatomy training for yoga teachers, as well as a 95hr training on Yoga for All Abilities (the Sonia Sumar Method for adaptive yoga).
At Grace’s classes expect to sweat, smile and be yourself; there will always be an encouragement to celebrate the unique design of your anatomy and physiology
Eilidh Swan
Eilidh’s roots are in the ashtanga practice and this influences her vinyasa offerings; creating a strong fluid practice of breath work, asana and awareness. She thrives in the discipline, observation and commitment of regular yoga, although ensures a lighthearted attitude in teachings!
Eilidh's classes blend the steadiness of meditation and strong, fluid movement of vinyasa with room for exploration of self practice. Expect led practice leading into a shorter section of self guided time with optional 1:1 assistance or extended savasana.
